Information regarding brief session notes, signed client contacts/consent forms and session dates are stored on paper in a secure lockable cabinet.

How I protect your data?

I make every effort to ensure that your personal information is held securely safeguarded against unauthorised access. Whilst I strive to protect your personal information, no data transmissions over the Internet are considered to be 100% secure. By continuing to use my site and services, you acknowledge this. Emails, messages and texts are deleted immediately, including deletion from trash folders.

Physical paper records are anonymised wherever possible, with dadat being kept to an absolute minimum. In the event of a counselling relationship being entered into, I am required by my insurance company to keep brief session notes for five years. These notes contain your first name, session date and a sentence or two regarding the work we have been discussing.

Access to your information

You can request access to the personal information that I hold about you. Which can be provided to you except in some limited circumstances that prevent me from doing this. Access requests can be sent to me in writing to Emma Eilbeck. Sent to:  PO BOX 107, Stocksfield, Northumberland, NE43 7XF.

You can request amendments to and deletion of the information that I hold about you. Should you request deletion, I will take responsible steps to carry this out, except in any case where I need to keep records for legal reasons, auditing and business purposes.
